2026 The Beauty of Bees Exhibition
The Mississauga Arts Council and the Streetsville Bread & Honey Festival invite Mississauga visual artists to submit to the "The Beauty of Bees" exhibit on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the Pollinator Garden from 1:30 PM-3:30 PM. The exhibit aims to celebrate the importance of preserving our pollinating bee population.

Location: Streetsville Pollinator Garden
Prize: $400 for three winners and $100 for the people’s choice award
Deadline: Submission deadline is Sunday, June 21, 2026
Exhibitors: Must be Mississauga residents
Theme: “Spring Into Celebration” Explore the energy and the importance of pollination through your art. We are looking for unique perspectives on how nature connects.
Accepted Media: Painting, Fantasy, Abstract, Realism, Mixed Media, Collage, Photography, and Floral Art.
How to Submit:
Because of the constraints of the exhibition space in which the show will take place, submissions must meet the following restrictions:
- Artwork (including dimension of frame) must be between 24”and 36” in width, and may be up to a maximum of 40” high.
- Juries will choose up to 22 pieces.
- Wooden easels will be provided by MAC.
- Images need to be JPGs, PNGs, JPEGs, maximum 2MB, uploaded to the submission form.
- Each JPGs, PNGS, JPEGS needs to be identified by your first initial, last name and image number (example: HHarris1.jpg HHarris2.jpg)
- Submit 1 Artwork (JPGs) for judging.
- Include Portfolio CV and/or Resume
- Along with the JPGs, complete and submit the Submission form to identify titles, medium, size, date made, and a maximum 250 word artist statement for all pieces submitted.
All submitted works will be considered by a jury made up of committee members and peers. A scoring system will be used to evaluate the submissions on the following criteria:
- Artistic quality
- Vivacity in colour and composition
- Dynamic motion
- Relevance to the subject matter
