The Portsmouth Individual Rapidplay is a 6 round ECF Rated Rapid tournament with a time control of 15 minutes plus 10 seconds per move held at Emsworth Sports and Social Club, 43 Havant Road, Emsworth, Hampshire, PO10 7JF on Saturday 4 July.

The winner will be the Portsmouth Individual Champion 2026.

 

Entrants:

Entrants must be affiliated to a club in the Portsmouth League and ECF registered.

Juniors must be accompanied by a parent.

Entry Fee:

• Adults - £18
• Juniors - £12

Entry closes on Tuesday 30 June - no entries will be accepted after this or on the day.

 1st           £100    and the Portsmouth Individual Trophy

2nd             £50

U1700         £30

Junior          £40

*The minimum prize fund is based on receiving 20 entries . The prize fund may be increased with the number of entries and may include extra category prizes.

Simple lunch will be available eg chicken +chips, rolls.  Otherwise entrants should bring a packed lunch as the town centre is a little distance away. Coffee/ tea will be available from the bar.
