  • Thank you for your interest in the NABS-BEC Bursary Program. This program is designed to support individuals in the industry who have been without consistent work for at least one month and are seeking to upskill in order to advance their careers.

     

    Initial Eligibility Criteria:
    To be eligible for the bursary program, applicants must:
    • Currently be unemployed or under-employed for at least one month, or freelancing / contract working.
    • Have worked in the media and advertising industry, specifically in the creation, production and placement of Canadian advertising, for a minimum of two years within the past five consecutive years. 
    • Currently be residing in Canada.

     

    Important Information:
    • The selected candidates will be publicly announced. This includes the sharing of the bursary recipients’ first and last names on the NABS-BEC website, newsletter, social media channels, and other communications materials.

    • Please complete this form with accurate and up-to-date information. The information collected will be used solely to assess your eligibility for the bursary program.

    • To be considered, completed applications must be submitted no later than July 14th, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EST.

    • Winners will be advised of their successful candidacy in the week of Sept. 28th, 2026.

      • Your information may be shared internally with designated bursary committee members and authorized NABS-BEC staff for the purpose of evaluating your application and making funding decisions.

      • Your application and related information may be securely retained for record-keeping, reporting, and future program reference.

      • NABS-BEC shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or expense arising from participation in the bursary program, or from the receipt or non-receipt of bursary funds.

      • NABS-BEC reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the bursary program at any time, without prior notice or liability.

      • Submission of an application constitutes acceptance of these terms. Successful applicants may be required to formally acknowledge and agree to these terms as a condition of receiving bursary funding. Upon acceptance, these terms will constitute a binding agreement between the recipient and NABS-BEC.
