About MUUUCE

MUUUCE stands for the Most Unbelievable, Ultimate, Urban Camping Experience. This incredible event is designed specifically with middle schoolers in mind. It’s three days of crazy middle school fun, woven with worship experiences, challenging talks, and small group conversations!
 
This year's MUUUCE will include a trip to Valleyfair amusement park and another possible excursion. Participants should ask your youth leader to find out the cost of MUUUCE, including any money they need to bring for incidentals. Meals from Thursday evening through Saturday breakfast including lunch at Valleyfair, will be provided at MUUUCE. Snacks at Valleyfair and other excursions are not covered.

MUUUCE is a ministry of the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church in collaboration with our host church, Crossroads Covenant Church (Woodbury, MN).

Qualifications
Leaders must be at least 18 years of age by August 6, 2026 & have graduated from high school & have an approved background check.
 
MUUUCE requires criminal background checks for every adult serving at MUUUCE. Background checks must be no older than August 6, 2024. Please let your MUUUCE leader or church administrator know immediately if you have not completed a background check or if your background check is more than two years old. Your registration will not be complete until MUUUCE confirms a current background check.
 
Compliance with the following standards of conduct is expected of all leaders & participants at MUUUCE. If you fail to comply, you may be sent home at your own expense.
·   Use &/or possession of alcohol &/or other controlled substances, fireworks, firearms, or other dangerous weapons (e.g. knives, slingshots, laser pointers, etc.) during MUUUCE is prohibited.
·   Individuals are liable (& will be billed) for any damage they intentionally or accidentally commit to Crossroads Covenant or to MUUUCE property.
·   All students are under the supervision of their respective church leaders.
·   Quiet hours are to be observed (no music, yelling, cheerleading, etc.).
·   Smoking, chewing tobacco, or vaping are not permitted at MUUUCE.

Acknowledgment of Risk and Consent to Participate
I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating as an adult leader at MUUUCE 2026, including all related activities and transportation to and from the event. I understand that this event is sponsored by the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church (NWC), hosted by Crossroads Covenant Church (CCC), and my sponsoring church (referred to as “Sponsor Church”).
 
I recognize that participation in group activities and travel involves certain inherent risks. While I understand that the event organizers will take reasonable precautions for safety, I accept these risks and give my informed consent to participate.
 
This acknowledgment does not waive any legal rights Imay have under Minnesota law but confirms that I have been informed about the event and voluntarily consent to participate.

Emergency Medical Authorization
In the event of a medical emergency and if I am unable to communicate, I authorize MUUUCE staff, volunteers, or attending medical professionals to obtain and provide any necessary medical care on my behalf, including evaluation, treatment, hospitalization, anesthesia, or surgery.

This authorization is valid only as permitted under applicable Minnesota and federal law. I understand that I am financially responsible for any resulting medical expenses.

Photo, Video and Media Notice

MUUUCE is a large group event where photos and videos are regularly taken to capture and share what’s happening throughout the event. 
 
By registering, you are giving permission for the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church, Crossroads Covenant Church, and participating churches to photograph and record you for ministry and promotional use (including social media, websites, and print).
 
We do not use names or identifying personal information without additional consent.
 
If you would like to opt out, please send an email to MUUUCE@northwestconference.org. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate, but we cannot guarantee you will not appear incidentally in group photos or videos.

Behavior Expectations Acknowledgment
As an adult leader, I understand that I am expected to model respectful behavior, follow event guidelines, and help ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all participants. I also acknowledge my responsibility to support event leaders in maintaining a positive and constructive atmosphere.

BY ACKNOWLEDGING AND SIGNING BELOW, I AM DELIVERING AN ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE THAT WILL HAVE THE SAME EFFECT AS AN ORIGINAL MANUAL PAPER SIGNATURE. THE ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE WILL BE EQUALLY AS BINDING AS AN ORIGINAL MANUAL PAPER SIGNATURE.
