  • Conference Overview:

The County Leaders Conference, hosted by the Washington State Association of Counties, brings together elected/appointed officials and department heads from all of Washington's 39 counties for a 3-day event focused on networking, skills development, and collaborative learning related to county government. This annual meeting of leaders includes County Commissioners and Councilmembers, County Executives, County Administrators, Engineers, Solid Waste Managers, and other county stakeholders.

If you have relevant information to provide to these audiences, please submit a session proposal by July 10, 2026.

    Guidelines for Submission:

We invite you to submit a proposal for a 15-50 minute session to be offered at our 2026 County Leaders Conference. These sessions will provide opportunities for knowledge transfer, skills development, and collaborative learning related to county government. We encourage you to be creative, innovative, and interactive with your session idea.

WSAC Staff will review all proposals. Because we anticipate far more proposals than available sessions, not every proposal can be included in the conference agenda.

For additional information or technical assistance with submitting this form, please contact us at info@wsac.org or call (360) 753-1886.

  • Draft Session Title:

    Important Tips:

    • Consider writing the title after identifying the workshop description/summary and learning objectives.
    • Keep your proposed workshop title short (10 words or less).
  • Draft Session Description:

The session description provides an overview of what an attendee can expect to learn. Good descriptions raise interest and generate excitement about the session. To write an engaging session description, use 200 words or less. Remember, the best proposals are clear, concise, and easy to understand.

  • Session Issue Area and Audience

This section is very important as it will allow WSAC Staff to strategically narrow down the topics to ensure a diverse and engaging conference agenda.

  • What audience does your session most align with?*

  • What issue area does your session fall under?*

  • Session Learning Objectives:

A learning objective establishes what session attendees should be familiar with or able to do by the end of the session. Please prepare up to three (3) learning objectives.
