UTD Professional and Personal Learning Session
  • In this introductory AI learning session, participants will engage in a series of hands-on activities designed to familiarize them with the basics of artificial intelligence and help them explore its practical applications in the classroom. Teachers will explore and interact with various AI-powered tools such as chatbots, lesson planners, and educational apps, and will examine them for their ability to enhance teaching and learning experiences. Through scenario-based activities, participants will collaborate to determine ways that AI can be used to address common classroom challenges, with a focus on meeting the needs of all learners through personalized learning paths and data-driven support. Participants will also practice using AI tools to design customized classroom activities, such as personalized lessons and quizzes, to promote differentiated instruction and assessment, ensuring all students are supported effectively. In addition, participants will discuss ethical considerations related to AI, such as data privacy, algorithm bias, and the role of AI in educational decision-making.
