• Educator's Thriving: Practical Science and Tools to Develop Resilience, Sustain Well-Being, and Foster Joy in the Classroom and Beyond

UTD Professional and Personal Learning Session
  • This interactive professional learning session empowers educators to take charge of their well-being by applying evidence-based tools designed to enhance resilience, focus, and satisfaction in their teaching journey. Participants will explore the W.O.O.P. framework (Wish, Outcome, Obstacle, Plan) to set meaningful goals, reflect on personal strengths, and identify ways to leverage them for continued growth. Through discussions and research readings, participants will examine common pitfalls that contribute to teacher burnout and discover practical strategies for setting healthy boundaries, managing time effectively, and aligning daily tasks with what matters most. The session will also highlight the science of appreciation, helping educators better understand how to both give and receive acknowledgment in ways that foster positive relationships and a supportive work environment. By the end of this experience, participants will leave with actionable strategies to sustain their energy, strengthen their professional identity, and thrive in their early years of teaching and beyond.
