TAILS AND TRAILS CANINE SERVICES
CLIENT WAIVER, RELEASE OF LIABILITY & SERVICE AGREEMENT
By signing below, I authorize Tails and Trails Canine Services to provide services including structured pack walks, solo walks, drop-in visits, puppy visits, training, transportation, public outings, and approved off-leash activities.
I confirm that my dog is up to date on vaccinations or titre testing and is free from contagious illness or parasites. I agree to disclose any medical conditions or behavioural concerns including reactivity, aggression, anxiety, resource guarding, escape tendencies, poor recall, or bite history that may affect participation in services.
I acknowledge that participation in group walks, off-leash activities, transportation, public outings, and interactions with other dogs, people, wildlife, and outdoor environments carries inherent risks including illness, injury, escape, accidents, property damage, or death.
I understand that dogs participating in group walks or social environments may interact physically despite reasonable supervision and preventative handling measures.
If my dog causes injury, damage, or harm to another dog, person, animal, property, vehicle, or equipment while participating in services, I accept full financial responsibility for any resulting veterinary bills, medical expenses, damages, legal fees, or related costs.
I understand and agree that Tails and Trails Canine Services is not financially responsible for veterinary expenses, injuries, damages, or liabilities resulting from dog-on-dog incidents, altercations, injuries caused by participating dogs, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
I authorize Tails and Trails Canine Services to transport my dog by vehicle and understand that transportation carries inherent risks including loading and unloading incidents, stress, escape, injury, vehicle accidents, weather conditions, road hazards, or unforeseen circumstances despite reasonable safety precautions being taken.
I understand that services may be modified, shortened, relocated, rescheduled, or cancelled due to unsafe weather, winter driving conditions, trail conditions, environmental hazards, illness outbreaks, or other safety concerns. Safety will always take priority over scheduling.
I authorize Tails and Trails Canine Services to seek veterinary treatment for my dog in the event of illness, injury, or emergency if I cannot be reached immediately. I accept full financial responsibility for any veterinary expenses incurred.
I understand that dogs participating in public outings or trails are required to wear valid HRM Municipal Dog Tags where required by law. I accept responsibility for ensuring my dog is properly licensed and understand that Tails and Trails Canine Services is not responsible for fines or penalties related to municipal licensing.
I understand that outdoor activities may expose my dog to mud, ticks, fleas, wildlife, water, uneven terrain, and other environmental hazards despite reasonable precautions being taken.
I acknowledge that no specific behavioural or training results are guaranteed.
I grant permission for photographs or videos of my dog to be used for social media or promotional purposes unless otherwise requested in writing.
I understand that animal behaviour is unpredictable and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in services provided by Tails and Trails Canine Services.
By signing below, I release, waive, and hold harmless Tails and Trails Canine Services, its owner, employees, contractors, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from participation in services, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to all terms outlined in this waiver and release agreement.
