Scholarship Qualifications & About:
The Women in Business Scholarship, presented through Miss Texas, was established to support and empower driven women pursuing careers in the business field. Open to contestants of the Miss Texas Pageant, this scholarship is intentionally designed to create equal opportunity across all stages of early professional development, whether a candidate is currently studying business or actively working within the industry.
Rooted in the belief that financial barriers should never limit ambition, this scholarship aims to address the gap in accessible resources for women striving to succeed in business. As a soon-to-be graduate with a degree in finance, the founder, Katherine Omo-Osagie, Miss Colleyville, recognizes firsthand both the opportunities, challenges and underrepresentation that comes with entering this competitive field. Through this initiative, she seeks to invest in women who are deeply dedicated to a business-focused career path, demonstrate strong leadership through both experience and action, and possess a clear, thoughtful understanding of what it takes to be successful in today’s business environment.
More than just financial assistance, the Women in Business Scholarship represents a commitment to fostering the next generation of female leaders, women who will not only excel in business, but also uplift others along the way.
