Join the Newport News Green Foundation on Saturday, June 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center (2410 Wickham Ave.) for a mixed media earth-focused collage workshop led by teaching artist Shayla Hayward-Lundy!
Participants will embark on a creative journey using nature’s abundant offerings as the primary art-making materials. Through the tactile process of collage-making, utilizing elements like flowers, bark, leaves, and seeds, we’ll create artworks that emphasize an appreciation for nature. Together, let’s discover the power and possibility of sustainable art-making.
Open to all ages! Children under 13 must have an accompanying adult.
