• 2026 Fourth of July Parade Application

  • Theme: It's a Party! America Turns 250

     

    The deadline to submit a parade application is 5pm on Monday, June 29. We will confirm your participation in the parade via email by Thursday, July 2. The Fourth of July celebration in Montreat will be Saturday, July 4th. All entries must check in at the station at Lookout Road and Appalachian Way no later than 10:00 am. Parade starts at 10:30 am.

     

    Important Guidelines

    In order to participate in Montreat's Fourth of July celebration, all participants and parade entries must agree to uphold the spirit of Montreat by adhering to the following guidelines.

    • No firearms, pyrotechnics, or their facsimiles are allowed at any Montreat Fourth of July events.
    • No entries that might be considered offensive to any groups or individuals, or that are contrary to the spirit of the parade and Montreat Conference Center.
    • No commercial or political advertising of any kind.
    • No motorcycles.
    • To ensure the safety of all (especially our children), nothing is to be thrown from vehicles at ANY time during the parade. To share things like candy with spectators, please only do so by walking along the sides of the route to hand items directly to people.
    • So we can be good stewards of creation, silly string and confetti are also prohibited.

    By submitting this application, I agree that the entry description provided is complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge. I acknowledge that I have read and will adhere to the content and safety regulations set in place by the event organizers, and that I am responsible for ensuring that other members of my parade entry also adhere to them. Montreat Conference Center reserves the right to remove parade entries without prior notice if the content of the entry does not match the description provided in this application or the entry/participants do not adhere to the safety regulations outlined above.
