Students get ready for an unforgettable summer! The Triad Cultural Arts Docent Training program will provide training for young women, ages 15-17, to interpret local and national Black history. Beginning July 1st, you will learn about the History profession through a museum tour, discussions with museum professionals, and local Black history. Over the course of 5 weeks, each week will include two sessions, on Wednesdays and Fridays, from 1:30pm-3:30pm. In the final week, you will put your skills and training into practice by conducting your own tours at the Shotgun House Legacy Site!
Deadline Extended: The countdown begins TODAY for application submissions. Applications are OPEN and will close June 1st. We have 10 spots available, and $500 will be provided for each docent for their training and work.
