  • Please complete this application if you wish to participate as a non-commercial exhibitor during Live on the Avenue 2026. Applications are subject to Town review and approval and must be submitted a minimum of 10 days prior to the requested event date(s) for consideration. You are required to provide the requested documentation in order to participate. 

  • Conditions of Approval

    The following conditions apply to all downtown events, unless waived or modified by the Town. Other conditions, as set by the Town Council and Town staff, may apply to particular events for public safety or other objectives of the Town.
    • Community Event Standards & Objectives 
    • Based on input from downtown merchants, property owners, and local residents, the Town Council has adopted the following criteria they will consider when reviewing applications for the closure of roadways or other public space in the downtown area.

      Does the event:
      ✓ Attract local residents
      ✓ Attract people throughout the Bay Area
      ✓ Attract families
      ✓ Generate interest for people to return and spend money in local businesses
      ✓ Provide a overall positive impact on business
      ✓ Assure public safety
      ✓ Benefit the Town
      ✓ Provide access for persons with disabilities
      ✓ Provide emergency vehicle access
      ✓ Assure that any tables and chairs are placed so that storefronts have access and visibility

  • Due to high demand for space at Live on the Avenue, non-profit organizations, political groups, youth organizations or cultural groups may occupy a table a maximum of 5 times between June 20 and September 12, 2026.

  • Safety Requirements Acknowledgement

    Vendors must comply with all safety, accessibility, and emergency access requirements as a condition of participation. Please review and acknowledge each of the safety requirements below. By checking the boxes, you confirm your understanding of and agreement to comply with each requirement.

    Vendors must comply with all operational, scheduling, and conduct requirements as a condition of participation. Please review and acknowledge the operational requirements below. By checking the boxes, you confirm your understanding of and agreement to comply with each requirement.

    • Under Ordinance 1175, all food vendors who provide takeout food must abide by the following rules: 

      1. To-go foodware must be fiber-based or BPI-certified compostable (no bio or "compostable" plastics). Aluminum is allowed. 
      2. To-go foodware accessories can be provided only upon request or at a self-serve takeout station and must be fiber-based compostable (when available). Plastic straws may be provided upon request to accommodate any person's access needs. 
      3. Disposable cups must have an itemized charge of 25 cents (with exceptions for CalFresh, SNAP, and WIC recipients), to be retained by the food vendor.

  • Liability & Hold Harmless Agreement

    I HEREBY AGREE to indemnify and hold harmless the Town of San Anselmo and it's officers, contractors, volunteers, and employees, and any community organization co-sponsoring the program, from and against any and all liability for any injury which may be suffered by me or my child arising out of or in any way connected with participation in the program(s) named above. In case of emergency, my child may be treated by a qualified physician. Release of photographs: The undersigned understands and agrees that photos and/or videos may be taken during the event and the undersigned hereby gives permission to have his/her photo and/or video taken and authorizes the use and reproduction of said photos by Town of San Anselmo. All negatives, prints or electronic files shall become the sole property of the Town of San Anselmo.

    MANDATORY ARBITRATION OF CLAIMS AGAINST THE TOWN

    It is hereby expressly understood and agreed to by the under-signed that any claim asserted against the Town by the undersigned participant, either on behalf of him/her or on behalf of another person, on account of bodily injury, mental disturbance, death or property damage, sustained as a result of, or for any reason connected to the use of Town property, facilities or programs or acts or omissions of Town employees or volunteers pursuant to this registration, will be resolved by submission to arbitration as provided by California law, and not by a lawsuit or resort to court process except as California law provides for judicial review of arbitration proceedings. It is agreed that all claim submission, requirements, procedures, and deadlines and all immunities established by the Government Code or other provision of law will apply, but that the undersigned waives all rights to file a lawsuit and agrees, in lieu thereof, to resolving all claims and disputes through the arbitration process. The Town and the undersigned, by execution of this document, are giving up their constitutional right to have any such dispute decided in a court of law and before a judge or jury and instead are accepting the use of arbitration.

    I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT IT IS A FULL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY AND SIGN IT ON MY OWN FREE WILL.
