NONDISCRIMINATION
Center of Hope Family Services (“COHFS”) does not discriminate on the basis of gender and prohibits gender discrimination in any educational program or activity that it operates, as required by Title IX, including in admission and employment.Discrimination on the basis of gender includes discrimination on the basis of gender stereotypes, gender characteristics, pregnancy or related conditions, sexual orientation, and gender identity. COHFS is committed to maintaining an education and work environment that is free from gender discrimination (including sex-based harassment), responding promptly and effectively when it has knowledge of conduct that reasonably may constitute gender discrimination, and addressing gender discrimination in its educational programs or activities. Persons who commit gender-based harassment are subject to the full range of disciplinary sanctions set forth in this policy. COHFS will provide persons who have experienced gender-based harassment ongoing remedies as reasonably necessary to restore or preserve access to COHFS educational programs or activities.
Complaint Procedure
If you experience or observe any harassment or discrimination based on gender, or if you believe that you have been treated in an unlawful, discriminatory manner, you should promptly report the incident to Mrs. Willetta Perryman. You are not required to complain first to the person who offended you. If for any reason you are not comfortable reporting the incident to Mrs. Willetta Perryman, or if you are not satisfied with the response, then you should bring the situation to the attention of Dr. Tracee Perryman. Your complaint will be kept confidential to the extent possible, as determined by COHFS.
COHFS will investigate any claims of harassment or retaliation promptly, impartially, thoroughly and, to the extent possible, confidentially. The manner and extent of investigation is at the discretion of COHFS as it deems necessary.
If you believe that you have been harassed or treated in an unlawful, discriminatory manner, you may also file a complaint with the Office for Civil Rights, U.S. Department of Education, or with the Ohio Civil Rights Commission. These administrative agencies are not part of COHFS’s internal complaint process, and a complaint may be filed with the Office of Civil Rights or the Ohio Civil Rights Commission at any time.
