  • Patch test

  • A complimentary patch test is required no less than 48 hours before your first session. We apply a small amount of the same pigments and numbing cream to the inside of your forearm. If you notice redness, itching, swelling or any reaction, please contact the studio and do not attend your appointment.

  • About your treatment

  • Lip blush and lip liner are forms of semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing. Pigment is implanted into the upper layers of the skin to enhance your natural lip colour and shape. The treatment is carried out in two sessions — an initial appointment and a top-up 6–10 weeks later. Both are required for a healed, even result. Numbing cream is applied throughout. You may still feel some discomfort. Immediately after, your lips will look darker, fuller and more defined than the final result. They typically lighten by 30–50% over a 4–6 week heal. Pigment fades gradually over 12–36 months. Results cannot be guaranteed. Touch-ups beyond your included top-up are chargeable. All cosmetic tattooing carries some risk. Common reactions during the 4–6 week heal include swelling, tenderness, dryness, light scabbing and uneven colour. Less common but possible: allergic reaction to pigment or anaesthetic; infection if aftercare is not followed; asymmetry, patchiness or colour shift; pigment migration; reactivation of the cold-sore virus; in rare cases, scarring or permanent change to skin texture. Healed PMU is considered permanent in the eyes of the law even where pigment fades — you may always retain some residual colour.
