Care is Resistance is rooted in the legacy of the Care Teams created at Health Brigade, then the Fan Free Clinic, during the AIDS crisis of the 1980s and 90s. Community members showed up for one another with meals, rides, check-ins, advocacy, and everyday acts of care rooted in dignity and community.
Today, we are reviving that spirit as many of our neighbors face growing barriers to food, healthcare, and support.
Through this project, workplaces, faith communities, neighborhood groups, schools, organizations, and individuals can come together to support Health Brigade patients and programs through food box collections, supply drives, volunteer support, and deliveries.
Big or small, you gather the team, and we’ll provide the simple one-time project — including curated shopping lists, collection guidance, printable materials, and one-on-one support as needed. Fill out this form and we'll e-mail you the kit!
