We're a community of neighbors, artists, architects, designers, and business owners working together to transform underused alleys into a living art walkway that showcases local Austin talent and reflects the culture and history of East Austin. This is a community-driven effort to turn overlooked corridors into something beautiful, meaningful, and alive.
Alongside the art, we're tackling practical improvements — lighting, wayfinding, planting, and infrastructure — to make the alleys safe, welcoming, and maintainable for the long term. The goal is a vibrant "third place" where folks can discover art, support businesses, and build a deeper connection with the neighborhood.
We're currently focused on the alleyway between East Cesar Chavez and Willow Street, specifically the blocks between Chalmers and Lynn, with a long-term vision to extend the full alley corridor from I-35 to Pleasant Valley.
