Scholarship Amount: $1000

Application Deadline: June 1, 2026

Scholarship Qualifications & About: Candidate must meet one of the following criteria:

*primary residence west of I-35
*first generation college student
*professional career path towards public education, broadcasting, or public service/government

Please note: This scholarship has an interview component for finalist, must be available in a three day window for Zoom interviews, following the application deadline and prior to the scholarship brunch the Sunday of Miss Texas week

Please submit a one page essay in PDF format via the submission button below.  It should answer the following question:

“In an era where digital presence shapes public perception, how will you, as Miss Texas, utilize social media as a constructive tool to amplify your social impact initiative (platform) and promote meaningful civic engagement across the state?”
