1. Acknowledgment of Risks
I understand that participation in honeybee therapy sessions, apiary visits, bee hive relaxation experiences, meditation near beehives, or any activities conducted at Mzz Bee Haven Apiary and The Honeybee Sanctuary involves inherent risks including bee stings, allergic reactions, falls, environmental hazards, emotional distress, illness, serious bodily injury, and death.
2. Medical Responsibility
I affirm that I have disclosed any known bee sting allergies or relevant medical conditions. I understand that the operators of Mzz Bee Haven Apiary are not medical professionals and do not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. I am responsible for carrying any necessary medications, including an EpiPen if prescribed. I understand that Mzz Bee Haven Apiary suggests not participating in bee therapy if severe bee allergies are present.
3. Voluntary Assumption of Risk
I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in these activities, including severe allergic reactions, anaphylaxis, permanent injury, or death. I understand that honeybees are living animals whose behavior cannot be completely controlled.
4. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless Mzz Bee Haven Apiary, The Honeybee Sanctuary, their owners, staff, volunteers, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, injuries, losses, costs, or expenses arising from participation in activities on the property, including claims involving negligence except where prohibited by law.
5. Property Rules
I agree to follow all staff instructions, wear required protective gear, avoid disruptive, loud, or rowdy behavior around the hives, and immediately leave restricted areas if directed to do so.
6. Emergency Medical Consent
In the event of an emergency, I authorize staff to contact emergency medical services on my behalf. I understand I am financially responsible for any resulting medical care.
7. Photo & Media Release
I understand photographs or video may be taken during activities for promotional or educational purposes unless I notify staff in writing that I do not consent.
8. Governing Law & Severability
This agreement shall be governed under the laws of the State of North Carolina. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.
