Join GABRIELA Oakland, OAKCHRP, and Malaya Oakland to learn about the political situation in Negros Occidental and what happened to the Negros 19—martyrs who were killed by the AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines) while supporting peasant farming communities.

Learn about the root causes of the economic crisis in Negros and the essential fight against militarization.

This event is part of the Defend Negros week of action happening 5/11 - 5/15. We will be raising funds to support independent efforts to investigate what happened on April 19-20 in Negros Occidental. We will have cultural performances and items available for donation.
