I acknowledge that each artist is only submitting one entry to this year's contest.
I acknowledge that I am not sending more than 50 entries per school. (If I am mailing art from several schools in one package, I will fill out a separate online form for each school.)
I acknowledge that each student created the art on their own, without assistance.
I acknowledge that the art is not digital (either AI or digitally created by the artist)
I acknowledge that the art is flat, does not include a frame or matte, and can be hung on the wall with tape. If it was created on a canvas with a wooden frame, the frame has been removed before mailing.
I acknowledge that the art does not include any plant or animal materials such as real seeds, leaves, bark, feathers, fur or other plant/animal materials.
I acknowledge the art must be physically mailed to the International Owl Center and arrive there by January 15th in order to be included in the contest. If the art is mailed in a way that would make it impossible to arrive by the deadline, it will be disqualified. If the art is late, but it is the fault of the shipper, it will be accepted. I acknowledge that due to the high volume of entries, art will not be returned, even if it is disqualified.
I acknowledge that if judges select my student's art for placing or honorable mention, I must provide photo or video evidence within 2 weeks that my student created the art (or similar art) without assistance from anyone else order for them to receive an award.
I acknowledge that by entering the contest my students' entries will become the property of the International Owl Center, even if they are disqualified. My students' art may be used by the Owl Center for decoration, fundraising, promotional purposes, printed materials for sale, or given away. This may include using my students' art to decorate during the International Festival of Owls and throughout the year, selling my students' art in the Owl Center gift shop, auctioning my students' art in fundraisers by the Owl Center or other non-profit organizations, temporarily displaying my students' art at other facilities (such as museums and galleries), making my students' art into greeting cards or shirts to be sold at the Owl Center, other Owl Center promotional materials, and other uses by the Owl Center. I and the students' parents/guardians consent to the above uses of my students' art, but the students retain the copyright to their art and it may not be used for other commercial purposes.
How to properly label entries (please watch, since improperly labeled entries are disqualified from winning prizes due to the large volume of entries.)
