PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS IN THEIR ENTIRETY!
If you have any questions, please reach out to evalout@letsmakestrides.com.
This scholarship application is for current and incoming students. (Note: If you have previously applied for a STRIDES scholarship, please provide new responses to each question. Some of the questions have changed and you will be surprised by how your answers may have changed.)
Please answer all questions below honestly and to the best of your abilities. STRIDES takes both financial need and student merit into account when determining scholarship recipients, so it is imperative that all questions are answered. Additionally, we will require you to complete the contact information portions of the application for both the student/applicant and the parent/guardian.
Section 1 is the student portion of the application and requires you to upload video files of your answer.
Section 2 includes questions regarding your current and past finances. This section must be filled out with the help of a parent/guardian and requires you to upload certain financial and tax documents.
Please email evalout@letsmakestrides.com if you have any issues or questions about the application. Any applications submitted past the due date will not be considered. Any incomplete applications will be reviewed as they are, with no consideration of incomplete or missing answers. Therefore, please make sure you have completed ALL of the questions before submitting. (Exceptions: Any applications with document/video upload issues or missing financial documents.)
A Few 'Best Practice' Tips for the Application:
1. The best responses come from thinking about the questions and formulating your answer over time. Take your time to think through your responses before you make your video or write your response.
2. Video responses: All video responses should be between 30-120 seconds long (i.e., half a minute to 2 minutes long) and answer the question in depth. Tell us why this is your answer!
3. Written responses: All written responses (student, parent, and financial) should be between 100-250 words long and answer the question in-depth. Tell us why this is your answer!
