Formally organized in 2015, The Charleston County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) is a collaboration of elected and senior officials, law enforcement leaders, judicial and court leadership, behavioral health professionals, victim and legal advocates, and community leaders. Our vision is to foster a criminal justice system that is fair, just, and equitably applied and our mission is to assist in producing sustainable, data-driven improvements to our criminal justice system and thereby improve public safety and community well-being.
The CJCC is currently accepting applications for representation from the following areas for the 2026 – 2028 term:
- Local Business Community
- Local Civil Rights Community
- Local Healthcare Community
- Local Hispanic Community
- Designated Liaison
Applications are due Wednesday, June 24, 2026, by 5:00 P.M.
