Participating in leisure, fitness and recreational activities within the Crestwood Hills Pool and Recreation Center presents inherent dangers and risks both anticipated and unanticipated including all manner of injury; both physical and emotional, damage to property or to other participants or other losses. Injury may result from any activity including but not limited to: overexertion, participation in activities beyond individual skill level, physical or mental capability, failure of equipment, any neglect to follow established safety policies and procedures by any participant, spectator or any other person,or any other elements of participating in any activity and or use of recreational equipment or facilities under the management of Crestwood Hills Pool and Recreation Center.

I understand that guests who are accompanying members to participate in any activity and/or use of recreational equipment or facilities under the management of Crestwood Hills Recreation Center and Pool at this date or any future date are under the member's supervision as defined in the rules and policies set forth under membership guidelines for guests. A guest may attend the Recreation Center up to 5 times per season. Guests are encouraged but should you bring more than 8 guests at a given time this should be approved ahead of time by the manager on duty. Guests who are under the age of 18 were released by their parents or guardians to engage in activities and or the use of the recreational equipment or facilities under the management of the Crestwood Hills Pool and Recreation Center. A copy of this waiver must be signed by the guest of an adult or the parent/legal guardian of a minor guest and brought to the pool at the time of the visit.

Injuries from participating in leisure, fitness and recreational activities at the Crestwood Hills Pool and Recreation Center may include but not limited to: illness, cuts, burns, abrasions, bruising, musculoskeletal injury, heart attack, stroke, head injuries, paralysis, death and the like. With clear knowledge of the risks involved in participating in leisure, fitness and recreation activities including but not limited to those outlined herein, I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation known or unknown and I agreed to follow all safety policies and procedures established by the Crestwood Hills Pool and Recreation Center for participation within the recreational facilities.

By signing this document, you verify your understanding of the risks involved from participation in any activity and or use of recreational equipment or facilities including the pools under the management of the Crestwood Hills Pool and Recreation Center. You assume the risk (known or unknown, contained herein or not) associated with participation in the activities at the present date or at any future date. By signing this document you also renounce any right or capability to recover compensation or to claim any other remedy for any personal or bodily injury, damage to property, death or any other loss or casualty resulting from participation in any activity and/or use of recreational equipment or facilities under the management of Crestwood Hills Pool and Recreation Center at the present date or at any future date. My signature indicates that should it become necessary for first aid or medical treatment for injuries sustained from me swimming in or congregating at Crestwood Hills Recreation Center, my permission is granted for such treatment.

I affirm that the statements set forth above are true and correct and that I have read the terms and conditions of the foregoing Release, understand them accordingly and have voluntarily signed.

Crestwood Hills Recreation Center RULES 2026

1. USE OF RECREATION CENTER
   1. Only approved members listed on the membership forms are permitted use of facilities. Guests allowed a total of 5 paid visits ONLY when accompanying a registered guest.
   2. No weapons of any kind allowed on premises
   3. Foul language is not allowed.
   4. For your safety NO running on the pool deck, walking on white pool gutter, horse play, aggressive or destructive behavior.
   5. Excessive displays of affection are not allowed.
   6. Smoking and vaping is not allowed on the premises.
   7. No chairs in the baby pool.
   8. No glass or ceramic items.
   9. Swimwear is required.
   10. Swim Diapers are require for those who need them. The office may supply these when necessary.
   11. Children under age 12 must have supervision of a dedicated person at least 15 years old. Children age 12 and above who are not strong swimmers may not attend the pool without supervision.
   12. No pets are allowed inside the pool fence. This includes Emotional Support Animals. Certified Service Animals are permitted as allowed by the law, but are not permitted on the pool deck.
   13. Keep gates to the pool area closed at all times.
   14. Please follow all rules as listed on posted signs.
   15. Obey the instructions of the lifeguards and management at all times.
   16. Unattended minors unwilling to follow the rules of the pool may be sent home after parent/guardian contact. Ongoing behavioral problems may result in the inability to attend without parent/guardian supervision.
2. FLOATS
   
   1. Floats may only be in the big pool 6-9pm on Fridays, unless Coast Guard approved flotation devices for young swimmers. All floats should be a single rider float, NO oversized floats.
   2. No floats besides Coast Guard approved life preservers in the baby pool.
   3. No blow up arm rings permitted
3. SWIMMING
   
   1. No hanging on ropes.
   2. No use of swim team blocks or other equipment
   3. Only one person on the diving board at a time.
   4. No deep end free swim while diving boards are in use.
   5. No diving allowed in the shallow end.
   6. No chicken fighting.
   7. Parents should be in the water within arms reach to monitor their children that cannot swim well or if they require a flotation device. Children in flotation devices may not enter the diving well without a parent in the water with them.
4. WEATHER
   
   1. In the event of lightening the pools, pool deck and fence must be cleared immediately for a minimum of 30 mins. The manager on duty will determine, according to policy, when it is safe to return to the pools and pool deck. When visible lightning occurs, it is recommended that those who wish to stay wait in their vehicles for the weather to clear. If a vehicle is not available, the office or snack shack is the safest place to take cover. Waiting in the pavilions is not recommended and the pavilion should be cleared. Closing the premises due to inclement weather is at the discretion of the manager on duty. Updates regarding closings will be placed on Facebook member page
