    Guidelines:

    • A 2-hour minimum is required for all rentals.
    • The request form should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the requested date.
    • Set-up and clean-up of the contracted area is the responsibility of the Permittee.
    • It is prohibited to attach material of any kind to any part of the facility without written permission.
    • Changes to, or cancellation of, reservations must be made within two (2) business days (Monday through Friday) of the reservation and may be made ONLY by the Permittee in order to receive a refund. Any requests made during the scheduled activity must be made by the Permittee.
    • The Permittee must ensure that all facilities and requested equipment are left in good order.
    • Deposit payment is due two weeks prior to rental date.
    • Additional staff may be required for certain facility use reservations.
    • All reservations are subject to facility and staff availability.
    • A Certificate of Insurance is required for all outside vendors.
    • Reservations outside of normal business hours should be submitted at least 30 days prior to the event date.
    • Applicable surcharges may apply for additional reservation needs.
    • Make checks payable to City of Tempe.
    • Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed for classroom, ramada and private pool rentals only.

     

    Ramadas:

  • Corporate Ramada - Large Group

    • Capacity: 50 - 1,200 people
      • Picnic style seating for about 250 people
      • Additional seating on East Patio for up to 50 people
    • Pricing: Subject to change based on reservation specifics.
      • Off season (December-February and end of May-September):
        • Starting at $300 for groups of 100 people
      • Peak season (March-May 15 and October-November)
        • Sundays: Starting at $550 for groups of 200 people
        • Saturdays: Starting at $660 for groups of 200 people
    • What's included:
      • Private, fenced, outdoor picnic grounds with greenbelt area to place inflatables, games, etc.
      • 3 large barbeque grills
      • 2 outdoor sand volleyball courts surrounded by greenbelt
      • Space to accommodate a vendors (inflatable, food truck, etc.)
      • Electricity and lighting (limited)
      • Group is allowed to bring in outside food and non-alcoholic beverages
      • Trash cans

    Liquor Liability Coverage:

    • Required for all vendors, businesses, organizations and/or coporate-run events serving beer

    Workers' Compensation:

    • Necessary for ALL vendors as required per Arizona Statute
    • A sole proprietor may sign a Workers’ Compensation Waiver certifying that the sole proprietor and the company do not have any employees and are exempt from Arizona law requiring workers’ compensation insurance coverage. Form is available at tempe.gov/ParkReservations

    Information required in Certificate of Insurance:

    • Additional insured - City of Tempe must be named as additional insured. Usually stated in “Description of Operations” box but may also be shown by a checked box stating the certificate holder is additional insured.

    • A beer permit is good for beer. Kegs are acceptable (if not associated with a “sloshball”-type activity).
    • Wine, malt beverages or liquor is not allowed.
    • Glass is not allowed.
    • Consumption in parking lot is not allowed.
    • A Certificate of Insurance with liquor liability coverage is required when the permit involves a business/organization/corporate-run event and they are providing beer. If it is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Beer), a COI with liquor liability coverage is not required.
    • Groups are not allowed to advertise availability of beer, sell admission, process registration, accept donations/fundraising, or related transactions without approval from the City of Tempe.

    A site plan may be required depicting the layout/arrangement of the reservation and amenities for review Tempe Fire, Police, Audit and Licenses, and Public Works departments. If required, include the locations of all amenities and equipment, including but not limited to, stages, entertainment, inflatables, games and amusements, portable bathrooms, canopies/tents, booths, tables and chairs, generators, food and drink services areas, and other amenities and services.

    Clean-Up/Damage Deposit

    A clean-up/damage deposit may be required to ensure that the reservation area is left clean and to serve as a partial recovery element for damages. The deposit amount will be based on the size of the reservation and type of activities scheduled to take place.
