HARDSTAND AREA RULES
1. Safety & Environmental Responsibility are to be the prime concerns of everybody whilst using or working in the hardstand facility. Owners and Contractors are to complete the CYCSA induction prior to commencing any works.
2. Whilst vessels are being slipped and or retrieved by trailer the ultimate control is held by the CYCSA.
3. Safety vests are to be worn whilst vessels are being moved. No person, other than CYCSA staff, are to be within 10 metres of a working Slip or Lifting Equipment.
4. The entire slipping facility is a “NO SMOKING – NO VAPING” area.
5. No person is to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs whilst within the facility. No alcoholic beverages to be consumed within the facility at any time.
6. Vehicles are to be parked outside the hardstand area other than to load or unload materials and tools, unless an exemption is given.
7. Maximum speed for all vehicles is 5kph.
8. Contractors, owners and their helpers are to abide by CYCSA policies and rules, and must sign contractor agreements before access will be given to work area.
9. Whilst working on the hardstand all contractors, boat owners and others under their control are to wear high visiblity safety vests at all times.
10. Contractors and owners must only use antifoulants in a manner that complies with Antifouling Code of Practice 2000, published by ANZECC.
11. Contractors and owners must ensure that waste water from working on boats does not enter the Marina water body or stormwater darins.
12. Contractors and owners are not to adjust or change any props, stands, cradles or any other equiment associated with the lifting of the vessel without the prior approval of the Yard Manager or a CYCSA staff member.
13. All power tools and extension cords are to be checked and tagged prior to use at the facility.
14. Earth leakage circuit breaker boxes are to be used.
15. No material or substance is to be allowed to spill onto the ground.
16. All mess & waste created is to be cleaned up and disposed of at regular intervals but at least daily.
17. Prior notice is required for particular activities which may be a nuisance to adjoining users.
18. Welding, gritting and grinding screens are to be used at all times to protect the public and adjoining vessels. The CYCSA Manager MUST approve SWMS prior to work commencing.
19. All general waste/ rubbish is to be deposited in the appropriate facility provided. All construction/maintenance waste/rubbish should be removed off site by the boat owner or contractor.
20. The waste oil facility is to be kept clean and only designated waste is to be deposited.
21. Any spills are to be reported to the CYCSA staff and/or office immediately.
22. No unauthorized personnel are to be onsite outside CYCSA standard working hours without prior consent being given by CYCSA management.
23. No pets are allowed in the Hardstand/Slipping area.
24. All outside contractors must provide evidence of public liability insurance that is acceptable to the CYCSA and be appropriately licensed – minimum 20 million dollars.
25. Any costs to clean up an area used will be charged to the boat owner even if a contractor causes the mess. Drop sheets must be used.
26. Any chemical products used are to be non-toxic and bio-degradable. SDS MUST be produced onsite if requested.
27. Users and visitors must abide by any directive of the CYCSA staff or management.
28. I acknowledge and agree that CYCSA relies upon this Booking Form once completed by me. If I cancel this booking less than 72 hours before the confimed date of slip, CYCSA is not obliged to refund, and amy without notice for its own benefit absolutely, retain part of all of the security deposit at its absolute discretion (and I release the security deposit to CYCSA absolutely).
