  • Which option do you support?

  • MPI is proposing four options. If you've spent time on these coastlines fishing, diving, gathering kaimoana, or just watching, you already know what's happening to the shellfish beds. Many experienced fishers, divers, coastal communities, tourism businesses and environmentalists support Option 3 because it's the clearest rule, the hardest to cheat, and the most likely to actually bring our foreshore back to being healthy and functioning. Option 1 is also strongly protective. But this is your submission. so choose the option that genuinely reflects what you believe.
