    Join PHA Curator/Assistant Director Emily Ellingson for a hands-on journey exploring the creation of herbarium specimens. In addition to managing the living collection, Emily oversees PHA’s herbarium, a documented collection of dried plants used for scientific study that are also viewed as works of art. In this three-hour workshop, participants will learn about the fascinating history of herbaria, get a behind the scenes tour of PHA’s herbarium, and learn the art of labeling and gluing real pressed plants to archival paper. Participants will take home up to three herbarium specimens that they glued!
