Phases of Competition:

Baby Miss-Preteen Miss

• Individual Modeling followed by a line up of contestants
  • Beauty Dress of their choice
    (Overall Appearance, Presentation, Stage Presence, Facial Beauty)

Junior Miss-Sr. Ms

• Interview
  • This private, timed, five minute interview is a great opportunity to showcase your personality to the judging panel. Come prepared to talk about the topics on your entry form, current events, the fair in general, etc. This counts for 50% of your total score.
• Parade of Contestants
  • This is the opening number. You’ll walk up to the mic and say a fun introduction. Example: your name and your school/a fun fact.
    Interview/Parade of Contestants Attire-Think bright, fun with flair, yet professional. Pantsuit, casual dress, jumpsuit, skirt, etc. This outfit will be what you wear for interview and the parade of contestants.
• Evening Gown
  • After the parade of contestants, it is time for evening wear! You may wear a gown of your choice. We encourage you to wear something age-appropriate. Come ready to showcase your poise and confidence. Stage presence, eye contact, posture, and overall impression are important too. This counts for 30% of your score.
• Onstage Question
  • Contestants will need to think on their feet with confidence and be prepared to shine. The emcee will ask a question unique to each contestant. This will count as 20% of your final score.

Eligibility Requirements

•  All contestants must be biologically female and a legal resident of Arkansas.
• Junior Fair Queen and Fair Queen contestants must legally reside in Hot Spring County or be a full-time student at a Hot Spring County School District.
• All other Divisions are open statewide.
• Junior Fair Queen and Fair Queen contestants must never have been married, engaged, annulled, or have had a child.
• Contestants must not have been convicted of a crime or have any pending criminal charges.

Titleholder Eligibility

• 2026 titleholders from other counties may not compete for a 2026 Hot Spring County title.
• 2026 Hot Spring County titleholders may not compete for any other 2026 county fair titles, excluding District Fair and State Fair.
• A contestant may not win the same Hot Spring County title twice, unless there were zero entries in that division.
• Contestants who age up into a new division may compete for the new title the following year.
• Junior Fair Queen must be 14 by October 1, 2026 and no older than 17 on that date.
• Fair Queen may be 17 if a graduating high school senior, but no older than 23 on October 1, 2026.

Entry and Check In Procedures

•  Contestants will be numbered in the order entry forms are recieved.
  • First entry= last contestant number in division
  • Last entry= first contestant number in division
• Contestantants will recieve their number at the Check In table on pageant day.
• Contestants must be on time for rehersals and pageant check in (30 minutes before start time)
  • Failure to check in will result in being marked absent and disqualified.

Side Awards

•  Optional side awards include: Photogenic, Prettiest Eyes, Prettiest Hair, Prettiest Smile, Best Dressed, and Most Beautiful.
  • These awards are judged during the on-stage lineup.
  • They are optional, require and additional fee, and do not affect overall pageant results.
• Photogenic: Photo must be uploaded to the online entry form. Judgeing occurs before the pageant.

Awards & Crowning

• Each Division will crown: Winner, 1st Runner Up, 2nd Runner Up, 3rd Runner Up, and People's Choice Award
• One contestant will recieve the Overall People's Choice Award based on online voting.
  • A photo must be uploaded to the online entry form for People's Choice. (Can be the same photo as photogenic)

Expectations of Crowned Winners

• All crowned winners must attened at least two assigned fair events during fair week to present awards.
• All crowned winners must assist with the Christmas Toy Drive
• Junior Fair Queen and Fair Queen must volunteer throughout their year of reign.
• Junior Fair Queen and Fair Queen winners must represent Hot Spring County at the Arkansas State Fair Pageant
  • Junior Fair Queen- October 16, 2026
  • Fair Queen- October 17, 2026
• If a winner chooses not to attend, the title will be revoked and awared to the runner-up, who will then become the official titleholder.

 

Additional Oppourtunities

• All divisions except Junior Fair Queen and Fair Queen may enter the OPEN Arkansas State Fair Pageant in their divisions at their own expense.
• Junior Fair Queen and Fair Queen Runner Ups are invited to compete at the Southwest District Fair Pageant for another chance to advance to State.
• The Little Miss Queen in also invited to compete at the Southwest District Fair Pageant.

 

General Rules and Guidelines

• Any display of poor sportsmanship, inappropraite behavior, intereference, or disruption by a contestant or anyone associated with them may result in disqualification from this and all future contest.
• The Hot Spring County Fair Association and Pageant Director are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property.
• Please treat the facilty with respect and clean up after the event.
• Judges are selected from outside Hot Spring County to ensure fairness.
• Contestants and parents may not approach judges at anytime. 
• Judges' decisions are final.
• Contestants are judged on: Facial Beauty, Stage Presentation, Attitude/Personality, and Overall Apperance.
• The Hot Spring County Fair Board reserves the final and absoulte authority to interpet, amend, or enforce all rules.
• Any contestant who fails to follow these rules will be disqualifed from participating in any Hot Spring County Fair Pageant.

The information you provide on this form will be used by both the judges and the emcee during the pageant. Please take time to answer thoughtfully. Personal, expressive statements help showcase your personality and make the event more enjoyable for you, the judges, and the audience. All information must be submitted on this official entry form. No additional forms or attachments will be accepted.
