When disaster strikes, families are often left standing in front of destroyed homes, damaged property, and overwhelming uncertainty. In those moments, the God’s Pit Crew Immediate Response Team exists to step in with hope, healing, and restoration through the love of Christ and people willing to serve. God’s Pit Crew is a faith based disaster relief organization with multiple areas of ministry and service. The Immediate Response Team serves as the rapid disaster response arm of the organization, responding to hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, ice storms, and other natural disasters across the United States. Recently, also began expanding internationally with our first international deployments to Jamaica. One of the things that makes the Immediate Response Team unique is its strong connection to the arborist and tree industry community. Our response operations include climbers, sawyers, equipment operators, and volunteers from many different backgrounds all working together to help families impacted by disaster. The team itself is overseen by a climber and tree company owner who understands the culture, safety, and professionalism that exists within this industry. Following major storms, Immediate Response teams often help families facing trees on homes, critically damaged trees, dangerous storm hazards, debris, and overwhelming property damage. For many homeowners, simply having someone show up to help can bring relief, encouragement, and hope during an incredibly difficult time.
