2026 NPRB PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS

In 2008, NPRB started a photo contest to draw attention to the importance of Alaska’s marine ecosystems. Now in 2026, professional and amateur photographers as well as young photographers are encouraged to submit their best five images in the categories of Seascapes, Marine Life, and/or Human Connections within the waters of the North Pacific Ocean including the Gulf of Alaska, Prince William Sound, Bering Sea/Aleutian Islands, and Bering Strait or Chukchi/Beaufort Seas.

To begin entering your submissions, please enter your credentials below. A maximum of 5 images (regardless of category) will be accepted per entrant. One photo story (up to 5 images; 1000 words) may be submitted per entrant. Federal employees and international submissions are accepted but not eligible for cash awards. By participating, you agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding.
