    Please fill out the form below to register to be an Ambassador at the Historical Museum, taking place on Monday-Friday, June 22-26, from 12-4pm. Students must be 13-18 years old. Please fill out the form twice if you are registering 2 students.

  • Ambassador at the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula

    Join the Historical Museum as an Ambassador! For students who love history and want to be involved in the Museum’s mission to keep Missoula County’s history alive for the education and enjoyment of the public. Learn the behind the scenes of working at a museum while gaining a deeper understanding of Missoula’s History. After completing the training week, Ambassadors will be able to choose an area of specialty to complete 20 hours of volunteer work.

    Training week: June 22-26

    Time: 12-4 pm

    Ages: 13-18 years old

    Location: 3400 Captain Rawn Way, Missoula, MT 59804

    Cost: Free, but Ambassadors must volunteer 20 hours of service to the museum to help host buildings, lead tours, participate in Lantern Tours, or work on special projects. Volunteer hours must be completed in the summer or fall of 2026.

    I have read and understand the information for the Ambassador Program. I have communicated with Staff any concerns I may have about the week. I have completed health history information above that is accurate, complete, and true to the best of my knowledge. I agree to notify the program facilitator of any changes to my child’s health and fitness, which may occur before or during the program. Should my child become ill or injured, I give permission for museum staff to render 1st aid & to seek emergency medical or rescue services, as they see fit and at my cost. Upon registering and participating in this camp, I hereby release The Historical Museum at Fort Missoula (HMFM), their employees or agents, and any person officially connected with their activities from liability or damages to my person or property arising from participation in or my presence at this activity. Further, I allow any 1st aid deemed necessary in case of injury.  I understand and agree that HMFM reserves the right to suspend a child/participant from camp if that child displays a serious behavior problem that cannot be effectively managed by the program personnel. Further, I hereby grant permission to any and all of the foregoing to use any photos taken for this program without compensation for publicity use.
