    Commonwealth Games Australia
  • Overview

    Borobi’s Mail is a select national school competition involving 20 schools across Australia, inviting students to create bespoke, personalised artwork and good luck messages for Team Australia athletes ahead of Glasgow 2026.

    Each selected school will be provided a list of specific athletes, with students tasked to produce individual pieces of fan mail designed specifically for those athletes, one portrait and one good luck message (templates provided).

    The initiative celebrates meaningful connection, with every athlete receiving personalised artwork and messages created just for them. This is a rare opportunity for athletes to receive bespoke messages of support, in some cases for the very first time.

    * Templates will be provided.

    The required output involves teacher-led engagement to support students in researching and accurately developing portraits and notes that align with the specific athlete selected.

    The expected outcome is a colourful, detailed artwork that fills the page and reflects the athlete’s personality, sport, and achievements. The examples above demonstrate the style and quality of artwork we would expect from the student artists.

    Why This Matters

    ‘Borobi’s Mail’ is about more than artwork, it’s about connection.

    It gives young Australians the chance to directly support elite athletes through creativity, encouragement, and personal expression. For athletes, it provides a powerful reminder of the communities standing behind them on their journey to the Games.
