Auditions will be held for shortlisted Singaporean instrumentalists performing concertos written for their instrument.
Eligibility: Applicants must be Singapore citizens and 25 years old or younger as of 1 January 2027.
For clarity: Applicant must be born on or after 2 January 2001 to qualify for application.
Application Deadline: Applicants are invited to submit their online application by Wednesday 28 October 2026, with the following items:
1. Biography including their date of birth, musical background and contact information; and
2. A high-quality video featuring a recent performance of a complete concerto with either piano or orchestra accompaniment, with composer name, duration of each movement and edition (if applicable) of the work clearly labelled.
Shortlisted applicants will be notified by email in November 2026 to participate in live audition scheduled to take place on 11 January 2027. Shortlisted applicants should be prepared to play the concerto submitted in full and should arrange for their own piano accompanist to play the orchestral part.
Shortlisted applicants may be invited to participate in more than one round of live audition, to take place during the week of 25 January 2027. Shortlisted applicants will either play the same concerto again or a different concerto, after discussion with the Organising Committee.
Successful candidates will be notified by email by February 2027.
Adjudicators' decisions will be final and based purely on technical and musical ability demonstrated in the applicants' performance.
Candidate may be requested to change repertoire due to programming considerations.
