Terms and Conditions for Healing Retreat with Guided Hikes to Ancient Sites
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for and attending this healing retreat, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, to follow all on-site rules, and to respect facilitators, staff, other participants, facilities, and local cultural sites.
2. Code of Conduct
Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward others, maintain personal boundaries, refrain from harassment, and follow facilitator guidance. Aggressive, abusive, discriminatory, or sexualized behavior will not be tolerated. Facilitators reserve the right to address concerns, require apologies, ask participants to change behavior, or remove a participant from activities or the retreat without refund if behavior compromises safety or the wellbeing of others.
3. Respect for Facilities and Cultural Sites
All participants must treat retreat facilities, private property, and archaeological or cultural sites with respect. Follow posted rules, stay on marked paths during hikes, do not remove or disturb artifacts or vegetation, and comply with any site-specific restrictions or instructions from guides. Damages to property or breaches of site rules caused by a participant may result in financial liability for repair, fines, or legal action.
4. Safety During Hikes and Activities
Hikes to ancient sites and other outdoor activities carry inherent risks (uneven terrain, slips, weather, wildlife). Participants must follow guide instructions, wear appropriate footwear and clothing, disclose relevant health or mobility limitations beforehand, and carry any required personal items (water, sunscreen, medications). Facilitators may modify or cancel hikes due to weather or safety concerns and may require participants to sit out if they present a danger to themselves or others.
5. Health and Medical Disclosures
You must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, medications, pregnancy, or mobility limitations at registration. The retreat does not replace professional medical care. Participants are responsible for carrying their own medication and informing staff of any emergency medical needs. In the event of a medical emergency, staff will seek assistance or transport to medical facilities; related costs are the participant's responsibility.
6. Alcohol, Drugs, and Substance Use
Illegal substances are strictly prohibited. Alcohol may be permitted only in designated times/areas if the retreat specifically allows it; intoxicated or impaired behavior that endangers safety or disrupts the retreat may result in removal without refund.
7. Privacy and Photography
By attending, you consent to being photographed or recorded in group settings unless you notify staff in writing at check-in. Photos or recordings may be used by the retreat organizers for promotional or educational purposes. Organizers will respect reasonable requests to avoid photographing specific individuals where possible.
8. Cancellation, Refunds, and No-Shows
Retreat cancellation and refund policies are set out separately on the registration page. Refunds may be subject to administrative fees and vary by notice period. No-shows or early departures do not typically qualify for refunds; any exceptions are at organizer discretion.
9. Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk
By participating, you acknowledge and accept the risks of the activities and agree that organizers, facilitators, venue owners, and guides are not liable for personal injury, illness, loss, or damage to personal property except where caused by gross negligence. You agree to hold harmless and indemnify organizers for claims arising from your actions.
10. Compliance with Laws and Local Customs
Participants must comply with local laws, regulations, and cultural norms. Violations may lead to intervention by authorities and immediate removal from the retreat at the participant's expense.
11. Accommodation and Shared Spaces
If sharing accommodation, keep noise, cleanliness, and shared-area courtesy in mind. Respect check-in/out times and any accommodation rules provided by hosts.
12. Changes to Program
Organizers reserve the right to modify schedules, activities, facilitators, or locations for safety, health, or logistical reasons. Reasonable substitutions will be made where necessary.
13. Grievance Process
If issues arise, report them promptly to retreat staff so they can be addressed. Staff will make reasonable efforts to resolve concerns during the retreat.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where the retreat is held. Any disputes will first pursue mediation; if unresolved, disputes may be resolved in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction.
15. Acceptance and Agreement
By checking the consent box and submitting this form, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions, and that the information you provided during registration is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
