Rekindle Fellowship Application
Thank you for your interest in the Rekindle Fellowship! We’re excited that you’re considering joining a growing community of Black and Jewish leaders committed to building relationships, deepening understanding, and taking action together.Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as you’re ready. Space is limited, and applications will close once the cohort is full.

A Meaningful Commitment
The Rekindle Fellowship is designed to be a transformational experience—for you, for the relationships you build, and for your community. Getting the most out of the Fellowship requires showing up fully and engaging throughout the experience.

The Fellowship includes your attendance at five 3-hour sessions. You are expected to attend all of these but at a minimum, Fellows must attend 4 of the 5 sessions, including the first and last, in order to graduate. If you already know that you have conflicts with multiple scheduled sessions, this may not be the right time to apply.

As a Rekindle Fellow, I commit to:

Participate fully in each of the five seminars, from beginning to end, without interruption.
Complete the assigned readings in advance so I can come prepared to engage in the discussion.
Be present, curious, and open to learning from the other Fellows throughout the experience.

In ten sentences or less, tell us why you want to be a Rekindle Fellow. What excites you about joining the Rekindle community? What are you hoping to learn, discuss, and/or experience?
It is important that you know that Rekindle is NOT an introduction to racial justice in this country. There are lots of DEI 101 programs for learning the history and how we got to this point. Instead, we're focused on discussing where we go from here. So tell us: where are you on your racial equity journey? Feel free to list any racial equity trainings you’ve attended, books you’ve read, and where you are in your journey towards social justice.
Rekindle is not a class, it's a community of changemakers. We want to empower changemakers with new knowledge, new connections, and new understandings. How are you a changemaker in your city (or nationally)?
As part of your Rekindle experience, you will be part of a small team engaging in a "Rekindle Intercultural Sharing and Exchange" (RISE) project. To get to know each other in a deep and meaningful way, you will host a get-together outside the workshops for others to experience your religious, cultural, or ethnic life. Think of it as an immersive "show and tell" for adults; this could be a trip to your church/synagogue, a meal in your home, experiencing a particular cuisine at a restaurant, going on a hike, etc. What would you be interested in sharing from your culture that is meaningful to you? Please be specific.
