Class of 2027 Beacon Hill Classical Academy Capstone Senior Trip

We are excited to offer our Class of 2027 Beacon Hill Capstone Senior Trip. We are offering a trip to Italy as the culmination of the Beacon Hill experience. We understand that there may be students unable to attend, but we hope for this to be the rare exception. This trip is an important culmination of our Rhetoric School experience.

This Attendee Application serves as the commitment to attend and pay for the BHCA Class of 2027 Beacon Hill Senior Trip.

DATES of Trip: May 11, 2026 to May 19, 2027

This year's trip cost is $3000-$3500 - If a cancellation is needed, there is a $400 non-refundable deposit for airfare & trip fees. There may be a larger non-refundable fee if cancelled after Feb 20, 2027). These deposits help to cover transportation & other deposits, airfare will be recouped to you as a credit in the passenger's name, or in whatever manner the airline refunds tickets, all additional refunds will be based on dates of cancellation and situation. This form must be completed per person in attendance, both students and parent-chaperones. It is understood that parent-chaperones may have a higher cost for their trip, as adult chaperone single rooms are a higher price. They will be notified of the additional fee, if one is due by March 2027.

I understand, I must provide my Passport information to Hilary Erickson by January 1, 2027. I understand that if I do not have a current passport that is valid through Dec 2027, I must go and renew or apply for a new passport immediately. Passports can take a long time to process.

I understand that as part of enrollment, the information submitted will also be used for the school trip. These forms consist of permissions to attend activities and events as specified. Travel in the form of car, plane, bus, train, Metro and walking will occur.

I / We understand that any travel currently has inherent risks including exposure to communicable diseases. I/We understand that all efforts will be made to ensure the safety of our students and chaperones traveling with us. I/We recognize that the school is not responsible for any illness or injury that may occur due to the normal course of travel.

I/We understand that regulations and restrictions are constantly in flux and as such, plans may be changed, and a non-refundable deposit may be required, if Beacon Hill Classical Academy is unable to recoup all of the monies paid out for the Class of 2027 Senior Trip.

Payments will be billed through FACTS.

Application is due by August 15, 2026.

Option 1: 5 Payments will be charged Sept, 2026, Nov, 2026, Jan, 2027, Mar, 2027, and May, 2027. These charges will be between $600-$700 each, with the last charge in May adjusted to final trip price and all credits for fundraising will be applied.

Option 2: Pay in Full will be billed on date requested between Sept 1 and Oct 1. You will be billed $3200 - with a possible adjustment made in May for any additional costs.

Any applications received after August 15, 2025 may be required to Pay in Full. (Please contact Hilary Erickson and the Business Office if an exception is needed.)

In the past, we have allowed families to choose to stay in Europe longer with their student. Parents who are attending, or parents may meet their student at the end of the trip. We have a Round Trip Group Reservation to and from Rome. If you are interested in staying in country longer and would like to change your return flight to a later date, you will pay additional fees connected to that change. Any changes to flights must be pre-authorized before February 15, 2027.

We are interested in extending our time in Italy. We understand our return flight will be from Rome on May 23 or 24, 2027. We understand that students must be back and available during school hours for graduation practice and for the evening for the Baccalaureate service on Tuesday, May 25, 2027. We understand there will be additional fees - this includes airline fees, change fees and administration fees. These fees will be billed on the Mar, 2027 payment.

Beacon Hill Classical Academy Medical Authorization for Field Trip Event and Travel: The Beacon Hill Classical Academy Capstone Senior Trip 2027 visiting Italy and all other travel connected to this trip. For the Dates of : Tuesday, May 11, 2027 to Wednesday, May 19, 2027. I/We understand that the school will provide adult supervision and take reasonable precautions to provide a safe environment for students on this field trip. I also recognize that there are risks to travel and Beacon Hill Classical Academy cannot guarantee my child's (or chaperone's) safety. Permission is granted for my enrolled student / attending adult chaperone, at Beacon Hill Classical Academy, to be given appropriate medical care in the case of an emergency or life-threatening situation, when circumstances are such that it is impractical or unreasonable to obtain my consent. However, I understand that the school will contact me as soon thereafter as is reasonable. In such cases, I will assume responsibility for the cost of those related emergency medical services. I/We agree to hold the responsible party who grants such permission harmless for that act and hereby release that individual, and/or Beacon Hill Classical Academy from any liability in connection with granting permission for treatment.

Appropriate Dress:

Please make wise choices regarding clothing. It should be neat and not torn. Good walking shoes.

In Italy to go into churches and some museums - girls must have shoulders covered and dresses must cover their knees.

Luggage: 1 Carry-on Suitcase 21" or smaller, and 1 backpack/ personal bag

A RFID passport pouch you must wear constantly.
