MEDIA ACCREDITATION - APPLICATION FORM

The Jamboree Media Policy is designed to ensure a safe, professional, and high-quality media presence across the event. To help achieve this, the Brisbane Jamboree will operate under a three-tier media accreditation system, allowing us to manage access zones clearly while recognising media who consistently support the event.

 

TIER 1: JAMBOREE ACCREDITED MEDIA
TIER 2: APPROVED PHOTOGRAPHERS & VIDEOGRAPHERS
TIER 3: SOCIAL MEDIA & YOUTUBE MEDIA

 

All media applicants must apply directly through The Jamboree Aus Pty Ltd. Applications will be reviewed by the Jamboree team, with successful applicants being approved and assigned a media tier allocation. Your assigned media allocation and access level will be outlined in your approval confirmation.

Upon sign-on at the event, approved media will only receive their media armband once they present the correct coloured hi-vis vest corresponding to their approved media tier.

Media Accreditation

• Media accreditation is strictly by approval only.
• Submission of an application does not guarantee approval.
• All approved media will be assigned a media tier/allocation by Jamboree management.
• Media access levels and permitted areas will vary depending on the assigned tier.
• Accreditation may be revoked at any time if these conditions are breached.The Jamboree AUS Pty Ltd is unable to approve all media applications due to strict safety regulations and limited media capacity at events.

Hi-Vis & Media Identification

• Approved media must wear the correct approved hi-vis vest at all times while operating in restricted media areas. 
• Media armbands will only be issued upon sign-on once the correct hi-vis vest is presented.
• No Hi-Vis = No Media Armband.
  Incorrect Hi-Vis = No Media Armband.
• Media must clearly display their accreditation at all times.

Restricted Areas & Safety

• Media must remain within their approved access zones at all times.
• Access to restricted areas is only permitted if approved under your allocated media tier.
• Media must follow all instructions from:
  - Jamboree staff
  - Willowbank Raceway officials
  - Security personnel
  - Emergency services
• Unsafe behaviour will result in immediate removal of accreditation.
• Media enter restricted areas entirely at their own risk.

Conduct & Professionalism

• All media are expected to act professionally and respectfully at all times.
• Aggressive, disruptive, dangerous, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
• Media must not interfere with:
  - Racing operations
  - Emergency response
  - Track Officials and IHRA officials
  - Competitors or crews
• Media are expected to maintain a professional appearance and attitude while representing the event.

Content & Usage

• Approved media agree to tag and credit Jamboree where applicable when posting event content.
• Jamboree reserves the right to repost, share, and use submitted or publicly posted event content for promotional purposes with credit provided where possible.
• Media will be requested to provide selected content to Jamboree for future promotional use. Failure to comply with this may result in disapproval for future Jamboree events.
• Media will not post any racing incidents or crashes on track, or emergency situations that occur at the event.
• Media will not make any incidents at occur at the event public without prior approval.

Live Streaming

• Live streaming from restricted media areas is strictly prohibited unless specifically approved in writing by Jamboree management.
• Unauthorised live streaming may result in immediate removal of accreditation.

Approval & Removal Rights

• Jamboree reserves the right to:
  - Refuse any media application
  - Limit media access
  - Remove accreditation
  - Remove media from restricted areas
  - Request content removal if deemed inappropriate or harmful to the event
• Decisions made by Jamboree management are final.

Liability

• All accredited media attend the event at their own risk.
  The Jamboree Aus Pty Ltd, Willowbank Raceway Incorporated, and associated staff or partners accept no responsibility for:
  - Injury
  - Loss
  - Theft
  - Damage to equipment
  - Personal property

It is recommended all media representatives hold their own PLI insurance covering them for the Jamboree event.
