    SECOND SKIN

Keep the second skin on for at least 24 hours, but no longer than 4 to 5 days.

If it begins leaking before the 24-hour mark:

    • Minor leaking: gently clean around the area and keep the second skin on if possible.

    • Heavy leaking or lifting: remove it completely, clean the tattoo, allow it to fully air dry, then either:
    – reapply a fresh second skin within the first 24 hours
    – or switch to cling film for the remainder of the day/night.

Only apply second skin to completely dry skin.

    REMOVING SECOND SKIN

The easiest way to remove second skin is during a warm shower.

Slowly peel it downwards against the skin rather than pulling it away quickly.

    CLING FILM CARE

Cling film should only be used short-term.

    After your appointment:
    • Keep the wrap on for the rest of the day
    • Before bed, remove it, gently wash the tattoo and allow it to air dry for around 30 minutes
    • Re-wrap loosely with fresh cling film for the first night only

    The following day:
    • Remove the cling film
    • Wash the tattoo again
    • From this point onward, leave it uncovered

Never reuse cling film and avoid wrapping too tightly, as trapped heat and moisture can slow healing and irritate the tattoo.

    WASHING

Wash your tattoo gently using warm water and fragrance-free soap such as:
    • Aveeno
    • Sanex
    • Simple

Pat dry with clean paper towel or allow it to air dry.

    MOISTURISING

Wait at least 24 hours before applying moisturiser.

Once the tattoo begins drying out, apply a very small amount 2 to 3 times daily.

    Recommended:
    • Aveeno
    • CeraVe
    • Palmer’s Cocoa Butter

Avoid over-moisturising. Your tattoo should feel hydrated, not wet.

    HEALING

    During healing:
    • Avoid baths, swimming pools, saunas and long hot showers
    • Avoid direct sunlight and sunbeds
    • Wear loose clothing where possible
    • Do not scratch or pick at flaking skin

Some itching and peeling is completely normal.

    LONGEVITY

Once healed, occasional moisturising and SPF will help keep your tattoo crisp for years to come.

I always love seeing healed tattoos, so feel free to send photos via DM or email 🖤

Touch-ups are free where needed (excluding fingers).
