Terms & Conditions / Liability Waiver

By engaging Brent Barrett for dog-walking services, you acknowledge and understand that dog walking involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, escape, encounters with other animals, and exposure to environmental hazards.

While every precaution will be taken to ensure your dog’s safety and well-being, you agree that Brent Barrett shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, illness, death, or expenses arising from or related to your dog’s participation in these services, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

You further agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Brent Barrett from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or legal expenses arising from your dog’s behavior during the provision of these services.

You confirm that your dog is in good health and is properly vaccinated according to local regulations.

Service Guidelines

Cancellations: Appointments cancelled with less than 24-hour notice will be charged at the full rate of the scheduled walk.

Extensions: If your pup needs extra time, I’m happy to extend our session. Extensions are available in 30-minute blocks, billed at 50% of your pup’s standard hourly rate.

Suspending a Monthly Agreement

Guaranteed Spot Retention

To guarantee that your specific time slot remains reserved for your dog upon your return, a Holding Fee of 25% of your regular rate will apply for the duration of the absence. This ensures I do not fill the spot with a new permanent client while you are away.

Service Suspension

If you prefer not to pay a holding fee, I can suspend services. However, your specific time slot will become available to other clients. When you are ready to resume, I will do my best to accommodate you based on my current availability, but your previous time slot cannot be guaranteed.

Termination

Termination for Convenience: Either party may terminate this agreement at any time, for any reason.

Immediate Termination: Brent Barrett reserves the right to terminate this agreement immediately and without notice if a pet's behavior becomes a safety risk to the walker, the public, or other animals.

Final Payment: Upon termination, the Client remains responsible for payment of all services rendered up to the effective date of termination. Any prepaid fees for services not yet rendered will be refunded within 14 days.
