ABOUT:
Bridges Festival 2026 is a multidisciplinary festival of movement, music, stories, and immersive art experiences.
This year’s theme, Fragments of Us: Becoming, is a reflection on transformation, healing, and the many experiences that shape who we become. Building on last year’s exploration of memory, grief, relationships, and rupture, this edition turns toward renewal, reconnection, and the process of becoming whole again.
What are you becoming through your grief, healing, and experiences?
We are seeking artists in performing arts, music, dance, theatre, and visual arts who bring an openness to experimentation and a willingness to collaborate across genres and disciplines, united by a shared belief in the transformative power of art.

PROGRAM DETAILS:
- Up to four artists will be selected to participate in Bridges Festival 2026.
- Each selected artist will receive a $500 stipend to support the development and presentation of their work.
- Artists will have the opportunity to explore interdisciplinary collaborations and create work that will be presented as part of the festival experience for the audience.
All selected participants will receive:
- Professional photo and video documentation of their performance or exhibit.
- Access to media assets that may be used for portfolios, websites, grant applications, and promotional purposes.

REHEARSAL DETAILS:
- Participants are expected to commit to the rehearsal, technical, and performance schedule associated with Bridges Festival 2026.
- In addition to the dates listed below, additional meetings, collaborative sessions, or rehearsals may be scheduled based on the needs of the creative process and the collective availability of participating artists.
- Please note that all rehearsal dates and timings are tentative and subject to change.
- Please note that participation is limited to performers based within the DFW Metroplex area, as the project requires in-person collaboration, rehearsals, and meetings on the scheduled dates mentioned below.
Tentative Rehearsal Schedule:
Location: Tentatively in the DFW Area
Duration: Approximately 3 hours per rehearsal
- Sunday, August 23, 2026
- Sunday, September 6, 2026
- Sunday, September 20, 2026
- Sunday, October 4, 2026
Technical & Dress Rehearsals:
Technical and dress rehearsal dates are yet to be finalised and will be communicated to selected artists at a later stage.
*Additional rehearsals may be scheduled depending on the requirements of the work and collaborative process.
