Antigo 4th of July Parade
Official Parade Rules and Waiver of Liability
Date: July 4, 2026
Parade Start Time: 7:00 p.m.
Parade Route: Begins on Arctic Street, proceeding north, and concluding at the Langlade County Fairgrounds.
Parade Staging Area / Line-Up: Staging Area / Line-up will take place between 5:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. in the staging area on 3rd Avenue and Hudson Street. Parade entry positions are determined on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the parade.
Parade Rules:
Start Time and Route Compliance: All participants must be in position and ready by 6:45 p.m. The parade will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. on Arctic Street and follow the designated route to the Langlade County Fairgrounds.
Candy Distribution: In accordance with the City of Antigo Ordinance, the throwing of candy from parade vehicles, floats, or trailers is strictly prohibited to ensure the safety of children in attendance. Candy may only be distributed by individuals walking alongside the parade entry and must be handed directly to spectators.
Animal Waste Management: Pursuant to the City of Antigo Ordinance, all parade participants must make appropriate arrangements for the immediate removal and disposal of animal waste. No fecal matter shall be left on public grounds or streets at any time.
Motorized Vehicle Operation: Pursuant to the City of Antigo Ordinance, no person under the age of sixteen (16) shall operate a motorized vehicle as part of any parade entry. All drivers must possess a valid driver’s license.
Family-Friendly Requirement
This is a family-oriented community event. All entries must maintain appropriate content. No obscene, offensive, or suggestive graphics, language, or behavior will be allowed.
Political and Controversial Content
To preserve the festive and inclusive spirit of the holiday season, entries designed to make controversial or political statements will not be permitted.
Participants may highlight their political party affiliation in a positive, non-disruptive manner; however, promotion of political candidates is only allowed if the candidate is present and participating in the parade.
All inappropriate or divisive signs, slogans, or displays are strictly prohibited.
Conduct and Compliance
The Antigo/Langlade County Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to relocate or remove any entry before or during the parade that fails to comply with these guidelines, displays poor taste, or disregards official instructions.
All participants must follow the directions of parade officials and law enforcement at all times.
No Solicitation or Sales
The 4th of July Parade is a family-oriented community event. To maintain a welcoming and festive atmosphere, no solicitation or selling of products is permitted along the parade route or during the event.
Participants may hand out promotional materials such as brochures, business cards, or small branded items, but these must be appropriate for all ages and aligned with the holiday spirit.
Waiver of Liability:
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Antigo 4th of July Parade, the undersigned, on behalf of themselves and any participating organization or business, hereby acknowledges and voluntarily assumes all risks associated with parade participation. The undersigned further agrees to release, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Antigo/Langlade County Chamber of Commerce, its employees, officers, volunteers, sponsors, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of or in any way connected with participation in the Antigo 4th of July Parade.
By submitting the official parade registration electronically, the undersigned affirms that they are over the age of eighteen (18), and they grant full permission for the use of their name, likeness, photographs, video, or any other record of their participation for legitimate promotional purposes, without compensation.
Furthermore, by submitting the registration, the undersigned confirms that all participants associated with their entry have been made aware of and will comply with all parade rules, regulations, and standards as stated herein. The Antigo/Langlade County Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to deny participation or remove any entry that fails to adhere to the stated requirements.
