  • Welcome to Foundation Camp 2026! Our mission is to provide one week of foundations in Athletics, Academics, Brotherhood, Self-Respect, and Higher Education. Hosted on the campus of Rome Middle School (old), this camp offers young men a safe environment for personal growth, leadership, and mutual respect.
    • Dates: Monday, July 13th through Friday, July 17th, 2026
    • Time: 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. daily
    • Eligibility: Young men ages 10 through 14
    • Cost: There is no charge for Foundation Camp
    • Commitment: Young men must be committed to attend the full week of camp

  • II. TRANSPORTATION & AUTHORIZED PICK-UP

  • Foundation Camp provides bus transportation within the Rome city limits. If your camper rides the bus, you are responsible for getting him to/from the stop. You may also drop off/pick up at the Rome Middle School (old) gym lobby.

  • III. PERMISSION & LIABILITY RELEASE

  • I fully and voluntarily consent to my child's participation in Foundation Camp 2026. I acknowledge that participation may expose my child to risks including bodily injury or property damage. These risks include, but are not limited to, lifting, crossing streets, parking lots, intersections, sports activities, transportation accidents, falls, inclement weather, and exposure to communicable illnesses such as COVID-19.
    • Medical Consent: I authorize "Camp leaders" to obtain expedient and proper treatment to assure the health and well-being of my child if I cannot be reached.
    • Expenses: I agree to be responsible for any medical expenses incurred beyond routine first aid.
    • Property: Campers are responsible for their own electronics; camp leaders are not responsible for loss or damage.
    • Licensure: I acknowledge that this program is not a licensed child care facility and is exempt from state licensure requirements.
    • General Release: I hereby release, absolve and discharge Rome Middle School, 100 Black Men of Rome-Northwest Georgia Inc., and their agents from any claim arising from participation.

  • IV. MEDICAL HISTORY & MEDICATION PROTOCOL

  • V. PHOTO RELEASE & CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Photo Release: I consent to the taking of photographs/videos of my child by Rome Middle School and the 100 Black Men of Rome-NWGA for educational, instructional, or promotional purposes.
  • Code of Conduct Summary: Participants must act with Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, and Excellence. Bullying, harassment, and derogatory language are strictly prohibited. Violence, theft, or leaving the premises without permission will result in immediate dismissal. I understand that continued participation is contingent upon adherence to these rules.

  • CODE OF CONDUCT

  • I. CORE VALUES

  • II. BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS

    • Respect: No bullying, harassment, or derogatory language. Respect personal boundaries.
    • Engagement: Be punctual for all sessions. Follow staff and guest speaker instructions promptly.
    • Environment: Leave every space cleaner than you found it. Respect all facilities and equipment.
    • Technology: Use mobile devices during designated "Tech Breaks" only. No recording others.
    • Safety: Adhere to all safety guidelines during off-site excursions or physical activities.
  • III. APPEARANCE & FOOTWEAR REQUIREMENTS

    • Footwear: CLOSED-TOE ATHLETIC SHOES ONLY. For safety reasons, participants wearing slides, sandals, or Crocs will not be permitted to participate in activities.
    • Clothing: Wear comfortable attire suitable for movement (Ex: T-shirts and gym shorts).
  • IV. PROHIBITED CONDUCT (Immediate Dismissal) The following actions will result in immediate removal from the camp program:

    • Possession or use of illegal substances, alcohol, or weapons.
    • Physical violence or threats of harm toward any individual.
    • Theft or intentional damage to property.
    • Leaving camp premises or designated areas without explicit staff permission.
  • V. COMMITMENT TO GROWTH

  • Foundation Camp is a community of young men striving for excellence. We understand mistakes happen, but we expect you to learn from them and adjust your behavior accordingly. "Character is doing the right thing when nobody is looking."
