How to Prepare Your Sample
This is not a test, there is no correct way to write, nothing needs to be neat or polished. In fact, the more naturally you write, the more accurate the reading. On 8.5 x 11 in. unlined paper, write freely in your own words about something that went well this week or about why you’re seeking this reading and what you hope to understand. Do not copy from a book or a screen. Let your thoughts move through your hand. Please follow these guidelines: Write in cursive or longhand if you can if not; printing is fine. Aim for at least half a page; three quarters to full page is ideal. Use the pen or pencil you naturally reach for, write as you normally would, and don’t slow down or style it. The content of what you write is yours.
