Miss Fiesta® San Antonio

2027 Application

 

Thank you for your interest in Miss Fiesta® San Antonio!

Fiesta® 2027 will be April 15 to 25, 2027.

 

The purpose of this important role is to give a talented, hardworking, young woman an opportunity to serve as an ambassador to raise public awareness for the Fiesta® San Antonio Commission and Fiesta® San Antonio Foundation.

 

The young woman selected as Miss Fiesta® San Antonio enjoys a thrilling, community service-oriented reign as Official Fiesta® Royalty, during Fiesta® 2027 with all-expenses paid. 

 

Miss Fiesta® San Antonio is also eligible to receive a $15,000 scholarship.

 

The young woman selected receives invaluable experience in extemporaneous public speaking, social graces and poise, and participates in the city-wide events during Fiesta® and throughout the year!  

 

The Miss Fiesta Finalists will also be eligible to receive scholarship funds.

Application Process (deadline 9.25.2026 by 5 p.m.)   

To be considered, please review and complete ALL of the following steps:

1. Complete the entire application
2. Include your resume
3. Obtain an unofficial transcript from the most recent educational institution attended
4. Submit two references who can attest to your:
   
   • Community Service Record
   • Character, Personal and Professional Ethics
5. Submit a 3” x 5” recent headshot

Important Eligibility Information

 

Miss Fiesta Scholarship Eligibility Clarification and Guidance for Previous Scholarship Recipients

 

If you have previously been awarded a Miss Fiesta Scholarship, you are not eligible to apply for, or participate in, the program for a second time.

 

This rule is in place to ensure that opportunities are available to new candidates each year. 

Candidate Requirements

All applicants must be:

• Female
• Available, if selected as Miss Fiesta®, January 2027 – January 2028 and attend all scheduled and required Fiesta® events / programs as an ambassador for the Fiesta® San Antonio Commission and Foundation
  • Events and Programs include:
    • Official Fiesta® events
    • Media interviews and appearances (TV, Print, Radio, Social, etc.)
    • Non Profit / Charitable event appearances
    • School visits
    • Local, regional and statewide community parades (ride on a float)
    • Promote Miss Fiesta® Program to interested candidates
• Between 18 and 22 years of age; Must be no older than 22 years of age through January 31, 2028 (NOTE: If you turn 23 years old ON or BEFORE January 31, 2028, you are not eligible to apply!)
• Single, never married
• Not be pregnant during your term as Miss Fiesta®, or have any children
• Currently enrolled, full-time (12 hours minimum), in a college or university in Bexar County with a minimum GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale)
• Must be a resident of Bexar County (permanent address or local address while enrolled in school)
• In good health and able to fully participate in all program activities
• Of good moral character and not be, or have been involved, at any time, in acts of moral turpitude or behavior that is, or could be, perceived by the Fiesta® San Antonio Commission and Foundation as contrary to the standards of the Miss Fiesta® San Antonio program

All applicants must NOT have:

• Any record of illegal activity (a background check will be conducted) and must not have any pending criminal charges
• Any visible tattoos or piercings, other than pierced ears.
• Familial relationship, by blood or adoption, to a member of the Fiesta® San Antonio Board of Directors, Elected Commissioners, Foundation Board of Directors, or a staff member of the Commission
• Previously held the title/position of Miss Fiesta® San Antonio
• Other internships or conflicts that prevent completion of duties as Miss Fiesta® for the assigned time of reign . . . January 2027 - January 2028
• Hold or serve any other Official Fiesta® San Antonio title concurrently
• Previously been awarded a Miss Fiesta related scholarship.

Procedure:  

• Completed applications will be carefully reviewed by the Miss Fiesta® San Antonio Committee

• Applicants must attend an orientation meeting on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 10 a.m. at The Woman's Club of San Antonio (1717 San Pedro 78212).

• Applicants will be scheduled to attend an in-person interview on October 8, 9 or 10, 2026, at The Woman's Club of San Antonio (1717 San Pedro 78212).

• Following the in-person interview, five (5) finalists will be chosen and notified by October 10, 2026.

• Finalists will participate in various Fiesta related events and programs from October 2026 to January 2027, including weekend and evening events and workshops designed to develop expertise in public speaking, media skills, etiquette, organization, and time management.

Any misrepresentation, on my part, will lead to the termination of my candidacy for, or selection as, Miss Fiesta®.  If selected as a finalist, I agree to attend the Miss Fiesta® San Antonio selection event. If chosen as Miss Fiesta®, I agree to fulfill my duties as described in this document, which requires me to be available throughout the reigning year of January 2027 – January 2028 to serve as the ambassador for the Fiesta® San Antonio Commission.
