Please initial that you have read and agree to the following items: initial here* The foster home serves as a safe and comfortable environment for rescued animals that need a little more time before being adopted into permanent homes. I acknowledge and agree that PDP cannot guarantee the temperament of rescued animals and that I accept responsibility for the animals in my care and assume all risk that may arise, including the risk of damage or injury to person or property caused by the animal(s). initial here*I agree to keep my foster animals separate from my own pets, and that the possibility of foster animals fighting, injuring, or spreading illness to my own pets does exist. I understand that if I do choose to allow my foster animals and my own pets to have access to each other, I do so at my own risk, and will not hold PDP liable for any illness or injury that may occur to my own pets. initial here*I understand that as a PDP foster I have an obligation to provide proper care for the animal including but not limited to: housing, food, socialization, training and medication as directed. At all times, foster animals will remain inside the home with the exception of outside playtime, walks, and potty training for dogs/puppies. initial here*I understand that fostering an animal is not an adoption, sale or transfer of ownership to me. I agree to keep the animal in my care and guardianship during the foster period and not assign foster care of this animal to any other individual. Foster families have the option to adopt animals in their care, but must complete the PDP adoption application process. initial here*I agree to arrange the immediate return of the foster animals in my care to PDP if I am no longer able to fulfill the foster responsibilities. initial here*PDP reserves the right to remove the animals from my custody if I do not honor these contractual obligations and that I can be prosecuted for theft if the animals are not returned as required by this agreement. initial here*I agree not to foster animals on my own or from any other organization while I am in possession of foster animals from PDP. initial here*I agree to bring my foster animals to all required veterinary appointments as scheduled at Hi Pets Vet Clinic. I agree to bring my foster animals to adoption events as directed by PDP. initial here*If a foster animal becomes ill or injured while in my care I will notify PDP right away and bring the animal to PDP or Hi Pets Vet Clinic to be evaluated at the request of PDP. Any costs associated with taking a foster animal to any other clinic, unless directed by PDP, will be my financial responsibility and I will not be reimbursed by PDP. initial here*If a foster animal is injured due to my negligence, I will be responsible for the vet bills associated with said injury. initial here*I agree to ensure that the foster animal is always kept in a carrier (cats and puppies) or on leash (dogs) when outside or being transported. initial here*I agree to keep puppies indoors and not take outside in any public areas. Puppies may go in my private yard only if it is enclosed and accessible to fully vaccinated household pets only. Puppies should never be allowed to walk outside in public areas. initial here*I agree to be responsible for my children and anyone else handling any animals fostered by me in a safe and hygienic manner, and will not hold PDP responsible for any injuries that may result from my failure to do so.
