• 2026/2027 POPO Internship Application Form

    Please complete and submit this form for POPO Internship 2026/2027.

     

    To be eligible for this Internship, you must be a Pacific student enrolled in their penultimate year (the second to last year) of a health related programme at a teritiary institution in Aotearoa. 

     

    The POPO Internship programme is a 10-week programme that runs over the summer from Monday 16th November 2026 to Friday 22nd January 2027. This includes a training week in Dunedin (travel and accommodation provided, if applicable), followed by eight weeks with a Pacific Health Provider in a region of your choice, and ends with a reflection in Dunedin (travel and accommodation provided, if applicable).

  • You are expected to be available for the full internship programme which runs for 10 weeks. You will have a break over Christmas and New Years, however this is determined by your Health provider.

    End:          Friday 22nd January 2027

  • Have you undertaken a clinical placement this year? *

  • If selected, you will be required to complete the following:

    • Participate in interviews
    • Create Social Media content
    • Complete reports
    • Deliver presentations
    • Be placed with a provider for eight weeks

    You will also be expected to attend the following:

    • Training Week: Monday 16th November - Friday 20th November 2026
    • Reflection Week: Monday 18th January - Friday 22nd January 2027
