The Reschooling Spiral 2026-2027

Moving through a full year of ecological cycles — solar, lunar, tidal, and seasonal, alongside the agroecological rhythms of sowing, growing, harvesting, and fallowing — the Reschooling Spiral is a practice ground for unlearning dominant frames of knowing and doing, metabolising inherited conditioning, reimagining ways of being and relating otherwise, and strengthening our capacity to respond to these times with discernment, humility, and care.

Format: In-person only, bi-weekly Fridays 12:30–17:00 CET, in Amsterdam

Duration: 11 September 2026 to 25 June 2027 (10 months)

Deadline: Applications are open until 10 July 2026. We will notify selected participants by 1 August 2026.

Selection criteria: We compose the group with care, looking for complementary backgrounds, roles, orientations, and lived experiences alongside genuine motivation to do this work. Priority is given to people already engaged in socially and ecologically transformative practices.

A note on contributions:

We offer this program on a sliding scale to make it as accessible as possible.

The middle rate reflects the real minimal cost of running the course. The supporting rate makes access possible for those who cannot afford the middle rate. If you can access institutional support or are in a position to offer more, please do. This is how we try to make it possible for everyone to be in the room.

If your current financial situation is not reflected in the scheme above, please reach out. We will try to find ways for you to participate.

Scholarships:

We offer 2 scholarships to artists and activists from marginalised communities, including migrants, Indigenous peoples, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and people experiencing economic hardship. If you would like to apply for a scholarship place, please let us know via email connect@reschooling.org and we’ll send you the details.

We are working on securing additional funding to expand the number of scholarships. 

Commitment:

Joining the Spiral means committing to the full 10 months. Limited refunds are available within the first four weeks.
