1. When submitting an official application, Teen Contestants must pay a $100.00 entrance fee. Form, Fee, and photograph is all due at time of submission. We will accept up to 20 contestants for this pageant. Application deadline is August 1, 2026.
2. Categories of competition for the Pre-Teen Pageant include panel interview with Judges, evening gown, fun fashion in Western Style, and on-stage interview. There will also be an award given for Most Photogenic.
3. Pre-Teen Contestants must be between the ages of 11 and 12 as of the pageant date. The Miss Monongalia County Fair Pre-Teen Pageant is open statewide.
4. There will be an Orientation for the Pre-Teen Contestants prior to the contest, more details will be sent out.
5. Personal Interviews will be before the pageant. Contestants will need to be dressed and ready for interviews 15 minutes prior to interview time.
6. Contestant must certify that they are of good morals. Failure to do so may result in her forfeit of her title and in such case the 1st runner up will succeed. Any complaints of questionable character would result in calling the Monongalia County fair board to a meeting and voting on a decision of said poor conduct.
7. If Chosen as Miss Pre-Teen Monongalia County, contestant must forfeit any other title she may hold. The Pre-Teen Queen should consult the pageant director before entering another pageant.
8. Contestants have not made any legal obligations that would prevent or limit her participation as a contestant. When chosen, “Miss Monongalia County Fair Pre- Teen Queen”, she must participate in all activities of the fair as deemed necessary by the Fair Board or Pageant Director. Part of the responsibility of the Pre-Teen Queen is to have an active part in all week activities and the crowning of her successor the following year.
9. Attending other parades, festivals and pageants is encouraged by the fair board and director. Should the Pre-Teen Queen wish to participate in local area parades, she will be responsible for all arrangements involved with doing so. The Pageant
Director will get a list of parades, etc. for the Pre-Teen to attend. If the Pre-Teen Queen wants to go to other pageants and watch, please let the director know of pageants attending or any places where she may be using her title. Any photos taken during fair week or through the year are property of the fair and can be used for publicity for the fair or advertisements.
10. Dress Code for Pre-Teen needs to be age-appropriate attire and tasteful. You are representing the Monongalia County Fair and inappropriate dress won’t be tolerated.
11. No Scores or Comments will be given to the contestants after the pageant. Scores are submitted to the fair board, and they shred all information from judges.
12. All Social Media Platforms – If chosen as Pre Teen Miss Monongalia County Fair, you’ll be required to add the Pageant Director as a friend or follower. Posting inappropriate content (photos, comments, etc.) may result in forfeiture of your title.
If I am chosen as Miss Monongalia County Fair Pre-Teen Queen, I hereby promise to uphold my title as stated in the rules and regulations. If I do not uphold my title, I agree to turn my title and winnings over to the first runner-up. The first runner-up will then take over my duties and honors as Miss Monongalia County Fair Teen Queen from that Point.
Furthermore, I release the Monongalia County Fair Board, Mylan Park, and director of pageant and any assistants from all liability claims due to the loss or damage of property, injury or sickness at any time. I also agree that the judge’s decision is FINAL and there are NO REFUNDS. I also give my permission that any photos taken during my reign may be used in fair book, ads, websites or newspapers.
