• Celyn Pembroke Welsh Corgis Questionnaire

  • About you

  • Format: (000) 000-0000.
  • Your household

  • Do you own a home, rent, live with family or other?*
  • Do you have approval of all adult family members living with you to get a puppy?*
  • Is your yard completely fenced?*
  • Dog Stuff

  • Have you ever surrendered a pet to a rescue or animal control?*
  • Do you already have a veterinarian?*
  • If you do not have a veterinarian, do you need help finding one?
  • Spaying and neutering (or chemical altering) is important. It makes a better pet for you and for your family. It also ensures your corgi will not have to deal with hormones. Males tend to mark (pee) their territory, they can become a bit aggressive around other dogs - males (neutered or not) that are already present in your home. Females can become pregnant, get infections and worse.
However, I do not believe in early neuter/spaying. I want my puppies to grow fully before subjecting them to stunted growth hormones and the potential of obesity early on, which corgis are predisposed to. I prefer spaying and neutering of my pups at 1 year if possible.

  • If your puppy is purchased as a family companion, do you agree to have it spayed(females) or neutered (males) by 2 years of age?*
  • Puppy stuff!

  • This helps me provide you with the best puppy for your household and lifestyle.

  • Something to consider: Unless you know your dog is good with same gender dogs, you honestly might consider the opposite gender. It's a proven fact that opposite genders get along far better in home environments than the same genders. Less fighting, less marking, less territorial issues. Something we should discuss.

  • Preferred gender
  • I do not breed merles or any non-purebred Pembroke Welsh Corgi. If someone tells you a merle Pembroke is 'genetically 100% Pembroke,' they are misleading you. DNA breed markers only go back 3 generations. There are NO purebred merle Pembrokes. Somewhere back in that dog's lines is a Cardigan Welsh Corgi or some other breed that carries merle in order to introduce the merle allele.

I breed to the show standard accepted by AKC in color mutations.  While sometimes Pembrokes get blue-eyes and some recessive traits like fluffy, blueie or mis-marks with a high abundance of body white, I don't breed for these traits. Because a number of show-quality dogs carry fluff, fluffies sometimes happen. Please let me know below if you are interested in a fluffy, should one of my breedings produce one (or two!).
